Background
It is not very surprising that I have selected Thailand as one of the subjects
on my homepage.
My wife Wannida comes from the village Patong outside Buayai, a small sleepy
town northeast of Bankok, far
from the main roads of tourism in Thailand. A place where a dark haired man
from Europe
may be greeted: - Awriight. . . James Bond!
Below is a picture of a "farang" pretending to help the farmers on
the field. The bitter truth is that the guy
was on the verge of fainting after 40 minutes while the other ones kept on for
another 4 hours in the blazing sun.

Being far apart, Sweden and Thailand actually still have a lot in common.
In fact, it also seems that people, behind the curtains of cultural heritage,
seem to share
the same dreams and wishes for the future and the basic qualities of love, hate,
happiness and
sorrow does not change with 10 000 km.
Despite what is said above, Thailand is still as mystifying and exotic as one can possibly wish.
At a wedding, the monks have a specific ritual that among other things include
the string as shown below. Visitors to this page are welcome to enlighten me
as to the
implication of this string.

Personally, I like hot weather but in general it seems that the efficient Swede is slowed
down considerably by the daytime temperatures. The evenings in Thailand are a
true blessing to the Swede, allowing him to start thinking again and possibly also
make some plans about tomorrow.

It is not very easy to have peoples attention for a long time on the Internet, and I will
not bore you for much longer. I hope that a photo of my beautiful woman will keep
you hanging on for yet a couple of seconds.

Not surprisingly Thailand is normally associated with travelling and adventure.
I do not have any brand new spots to recommend right now, but the Andaman
coastline
is of course a favourite if you want to be close to water.

Finally, I have dug up some travel-related URLŽs.
